Welcome!

Victor’s 1959 Café was co-founded by Niki Stavrou & Victor Valens in April of 1999. Victor is now pursuing other interests and Niki is still here, keeping alive the traditions and the dreams of this little cafe that they started together.

Victor came to this country, from Cuba, in 1961 and his father, who was a chef, taught him all about good, simple, authentic Cuban cooking.

Many thanks to Victor for teaching these traditional Cuban recipes to Niki who, although not Cuban, continues to proudly share them with you in a relaxed, casual and festive Cuban environment. Welcome to a little piece of Havana in south Minneapolis!

¡No problema! Whatever the occasion, we will work with you to customize a menu to best meet your needs. And, if you like, we will be happy to assist in the coordination of other details to help make your event muy especiál.

Breakfast and lunch, 6 days a week.
Tuesday thru Saturday 7:00am - 2:30pm
Sunday 8:00am - 2:00pm
Closed Monday

Dinner, Tuesday thru Saturday.
4:30pm - 9:00pm
